CC BY-SA allows users to reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate, lend and adapt the work, both for commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided that they give appropriate credit to the original author and distribute any adapted versions under the same license terms. This means that if the original work is available for free use, any modified version must also remain available under the same conditions.
