NC (NonCommercial)

UKM

Last Update 10 months ago

When a work is published under a license that includes the abbreviation “NC”, the author prohibits the use of the work for commercial purposes.

Example: A musician publishes a song under a license with the “NC” designation. Others may use the song, for instance, in school presentations or personal projects, but it cannot be used in advertisements, films, or other contexts that generate commercial profit.
