Copyright protection lasts for the entire lifetime of the author and 70 years after the author’s death. The 70 year period begins on January 1st of the year following the author’s death.
In the case of a co-authorship or joint authorship, copyright protection lasts the entire lifetime of the last surviving author and 70 years after the author’s death.
For anonymous, pseudonymous and collective works, copyright protection lasts 70 years from the year the work was legally published. For example, if a collection of scientific papers was published in 1980, the work will remain protected until the end of the year 2050.
