Are students allowed to print the books they need for their studies?

According to the fourth paragraph of Article 50 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, it is not permitted to reproduce (print) a book an entire book or to copy sheet music. However, students may print excerpts from a book to the extent necessary for their studies, provided that the material is not communicated to the public and that no direct or indirect economic benefit is derived from such use.
