A Research Data Management Plan must be prepared and regularly updated whenever scientific research activities expect to generate research data or other research results related to the completed research work - for example, digital records such as measurements, observations, survey data, experimental setups, code files, or laboratory notes, etc.

Researchers should prepare DMP before the start of the research. They may use the online tool DMP Assistant to support its preparation.
